Thanksgiving-- I'm glad our gold spray paint we used a few weeks ago was able to come in handy again. The Turkey Bowl trophy was impressive. It was funny to watch Michael turn a wooden turkey from the thrift store into such a masterpiece.
After the turkey bowl, my family headed to the Valley, while we stayed here and went to Michael's Thanksgiving party. The talent show was easily my favorite part, watching all my nieces and nephews (and Michael) perform talents, literally on the spot. It made for much laughter and the best kind of awkward.
The party ended at 4:00, giving us time we didn't know what to do with. So we ventured to one of our favorite spots. I was loving the sunny weather, and we thought we would pat tribute to the mountains we are so grateful for.
Eventually the sun went away, and we started to freeze. I think Michael was most grateful for the hot tub that night after the Turkey Bowl started to show it's side effects. Got to love those wake up calls telling your body it's time to hit the gym, and definitely don't eat so much pie in one day. We enjoyed it though because it was Thanksgiving, and that is the day when you get to eat too much pie, and be grateful for mountains and hot tubs.
