Life has caught up to the Davis household, and I have had zero time to update this online journal of mine... But it is Halloween friends, and this is my most cherished holiday. I've stumbled upon the third Halloween with Michael Perry Davis, and I am enjoying these pictures more than ever.
Flynn, Han, and Fantastic Mr. Fox... Whoa baby!! The greatest part, is that Michael gets into Halloween, like really gets into it. I think even a little more than me, which is saying something-- and he makes all of his costumes plus the majority of mine. Check on random talent that I literally could not live without. I am still working on overcoming my fear of sewing machines after a thoughtful homemade blanket for this guy... gone wrong. Luckily he has stepped in, and takes care of the wear and tears or any button replacement.
This year though, his mom took on the project of my yellow dress, which she whipped together like the fairy godmother in one day. I envy the talent of these two, but will happily let them do the sewing. I do love this second family of mine.
I wasn't completely useless this fall holiday, I branched out a little and made some chili for the ward Halloween party. Since I cook about once every two weeks, this is pretty impressive. It was my dad's recipe, and I'd like to think that if there was a contest it would have won-- mostly because last year he won the golden spoon for it. Yes people, a golden spoon. Tasty stuff.
Look at my adorable kids, they melt my heart. Halloween party was chaotic as always!! We stuffed our faces with popcorn and watched Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. The kids were all ecstatic that Merida from Brave was there helping out.
It's been a good autumn so far despite my hard classes and projects that consume my life. Remembering last year I am really glad that his guy got down on one knee, and decided he wanted to marry this girl... because I'd be lost without him. We are two peanuts in a peanut shell, and I want to keep it that way.
Happy Halloween World!
