This Christmas break was heaven sent. I needed time with my people, and the snowy mountains.
On Christmas Eve we drove to the Valley, which had transformed into a winter wonderland. Last time we were here the leaves were changing color and we were canoeing on the now frozen pond. Spring mountain never lacks activities, and being a little under prepared for sledding is never an issue at my grandma's house. She has anything and everything you would need, from mittens to blue jump suits, you will be zero degree weather ready in no time (plus the best meal you ever had when you return).
Michael only suffered from a few scratches on the face when all was said and done. Considering the big sledding hills we attempted, and his daring spirit, I was happy-- I can kiss some scratches better, but broken bones are a little more difficult.
I am going to miss this so much in a week.
